Before your stay

Before you arrive, our Patient Information team will give you a cost estimate for your hospital visit. This estimate is based on information given by your doctor. The doctor will either include his/her fee in the estimate or will inform you directly.
Our Patient Information Service will carry out a personalized assessment of the level of reimbursement you may be eligible for under the French national health insurance, and what costs your additional health insurance could cover. To do this, the Patient Information Service requires a copy of your health insurance contract.

If you choose the American Hospital of Paris for your stay, your doctor’s office will reserve your room for a time agreed upon by you and your doctor.

A few days before the agreed date of your hospital stay, the Admissions Office will contact you to:

• Confirm the reservation made by your doctor
• Give you the time of your admission
• Answer questions you may have about your time in hospital and provide you with any necessary practical information (what documents to bring, etc.).
