The Ellen Evans Society, named after the very first testator of our institution, brings together benefactors of the American Hospital of Paris who want to promote their Hospital’s medical excellence and ensure it is passed down to future generations.
Joining the Ellen Evans Society means committing to support the American Hospital of Paris beyond your lifetime, through a number of possible means. It is a way to make sure that future generations will, in turn, benefit from the best in French and American medicine.

To honor your outstanding generosity within your lifetime, the American Hospital of Paris offers exclusive advantages through the Ellen Evans Society.
As a member of the Ellen Evans Society, you receive a personal, lifelong membership card guaranteeing:
- Access to a dedicated contact person for your administrative needs at the Hospital
- Priority handling of your phone calls
- The waiving of our deposit requirement if you are hospitalized
- Invitations to exclusive events
- Right to elect members of the Board of Governors
- Mention of your name in the Hospital’s annual report (with your consent; anonymity is also permitted)
We honor your memory
When your bequest enters into effect, in accordance with the decisions made jointly with you, we will, for example:
- Add your name to the Ellen Evans Society recognition plaque
- Name a particular space in the Hospital after you
- Thank you in the annual report of the hospital
- Publish testimony of our gratitude to you in national press
