Our ambition
Today marks the beginning of a new era, embodied by a vast architectural project – the construction of a new flagship building dedicated to the medicine of tomorrow – and by a new strategy for medical excellence, dedicated to your health. This transformation of our institution will help us achieve our ambition of becoming one of Europe’s top international hospitals.
By intensifying its academic, medical and scientific exchanges with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia University. It is also on track to become a private teaching hospital in France thanks to increased clinical research and training partnerships with the medical schools of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University and the University of Paris. These endeavors embody our strategy of promoting medical excellence to guarantee the best of French and American medicine to all patients.
To guarantee the highest level of medical expertise to our patients, the American Hospital of Paris carefully recruits its physicians, who are at the forefront of their respective fields. Initially selected by an accreditation committee, they undergo a rigorous and objective biennial credentialing process that is unique in France. All members of our nursing staff are chosen for their specialized skills, whether in surgical, non-surgical, ICU emergency or dialysis nursing.
Because patients are concerned about their long-term health and how to best preserve it, the doctor-patient relationship must be a lasting one that extends beyond the hospital walls. By offering preventive care, early screening, treatments and post-therapeutic support, the American Hospital of Paris is increasing its focus on integrative medicine based on a holistic and personalized approach to the patient.
At every step of the care pathway, our mission is to deliver outstanding care to each patient and their family, in a world-class medical and hospitality-inspired environment. - State-of-the-art medical imaging centre, equipped with two CT scanners, two MRI machines and a latest-generation PET scanner, it is on of the leading imaging centers in the greater Paris area.
- New emergency care center completely renovated with a focus on ensuring personalized care and privacy, reducing waiting times, improving flow and creating seperate circulation paths for gurney-bound and mobile patients.

The architectural design
The new American Hospital of Paris is transforming its existing architectural infrastructure and erecting two new buildings: the imaging center, which is already operational, and the flagship building designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Construction work on the flagship building began in September 2023 and it will be able to welcome its first patients by the end of 2025.
Our architectural project marks a new chapter in the history of the American Hospital of Paris. The new building made of glass blocks mirrors the existing brick buildings, forming a harmonious ensemble that can proudly move forward into the 21st century.
