To ensure the best possible experience, we encourage you to begin the admission process as soon as your hospital stay has been scheduled.

You can prepare your admission independently through our patient portal, available at any time. There, you will find all the necessary documents to complete, as well as useful information about your care.

If you are scheduled for outpatient surgery (0 overnight stay), admission procedures can also be completed in advance—either online or with support—to ensure greater peace of mind on the day of your procedure. If you are unable to complete them in advance, they will be carried out on the day of your admission.

  • Confirm your stay

    Following your medical consultation, a cost estimate will be provided.

    You must confirm that you accept the terms by signing it:

    • online, via your secure patient portal
    • or during an appointment with a Patient Advisor

    Without confirmation, your hospital stay cannot be scheduled.

  • Attend your anesthesia consultation if required

    An anesthesia consultation is mandatory before any invasive procedure. In accordance with current legislation, it must take place at least 48 hours in advance. If you haven’t already scheduled this appointment, please contact the receptionist

  • Complete the early admission procedure

    As soon as your hospital stay is scheduled, we encourage you to complete your pre-admission:

    • Online, via the patient portal: enter administrative information, designate a trusted person, provide advance directives, etc.
    • On site, with the support of a Patient Advisor, no later than the day before your hospital stay (for example, on the day of your anesthesia consultation)

    Completing this step will allow you to go directly to your room on the day of your arrival, provided your pre-admission is complete and the deposit has been paid.

  • Check in at the reception desk on the day of your hospital stay

    If you have completed your admission in advance, please go directly to the main reception desk of the American Hospital of Paris. You will then be escorted to your room.

    If you were unable to complete your pre-admission beforehand, you will be directed to our Admissions Office to complete your administrative file on the spot.

To complete the early admission procedure after scheduling an appointment, please bring the following:

  • Valid national ID card or passport
  • Carte Vitale (for patients covered by Assurance Maladie, the French national health insurance) or, for non-affiliated patients, proof of coverage by a third-party  organization
  • Two deposit checks or a payment method
