Support Our Clinical Research Projects

In early 2019, the Clinical Research Committee selected five studies promoting the emergence of new medical and scientific advances in several fields.
Today, some of these studies have been launched, but we need your support to complete them.

Advance Critical Research

Our ambition is to deliver the best in French and American medicine, and our clinical research program is an integral part of this goal as it allows us to validate innovative practices and therapies designed to improve care for all of our patients.

An Active Approach to Medical Innovation

The five studies selected by the Clinical Research Committee are:

  1. Endometriosis blood biomarkers
Dr. Frida Entezami, reproductive specialist, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health

The goal: Identify endometriosis using a non-invasive test possibly leading to the development of a diagnostic tool capable of determining the severity and location of the pathology.

  1. Medical termination of pregnancy and mental health
Dr. Luis Alvarez, child psychiatrist, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health

The goal: Provide mental health support – prevention, screening and care – for grieving women.

  1. Profiling
Dr. Mahasti Saghatchian, oncologist and Head of the Breast Cancer Unit

The goal: Determine the clinical utility of precision medicine in patients with metastatic breast cancer.

  1. Metabolic syndrome with steatosis: evaluation of liver and heart damage via MRI
Professor Olivier Vignaux, radiologist specialized in heart disease

The goal: Use MRIs to determine the consequences on the liver and heart of metabolic syndrome with steatosis (functional study using artificial intelligence). Evaluate changes and therapeutic response (weight loss and exercise) with check-ups after six months and one year.

  1. Deployment of medication reconciliation
Dr. Laurent Quint, Chairman of COMEDIMS* and Professor Xavier Bohand, Chief of Pharmacy

The goal: Roll out a program of systematic prevention and interception of potential medication errors at the American Hospital of Paris.

* Medication and Sterile Medical Devices Committee
