Dual Certification Assuring Safety

The laboratory is under the responsibility of a biologist and also includes four deputy directors. It meets the rigorous quality standards defined by French and American health authorities.

It is audited every four years as part of the certification process for health care institutions conducted by the Haute Autorité de Santé. It is also audited every two years by the Join Commission, an independent American body which is the largest accreditation agency for health care institutions in the United States.

In addition, the laboratory of the American Hospital of Paris is accredited by COFRAC (French accreditation committee - n ° 8-4195) according to the ISO 15189 standard. This accreditation guarantees the quality and safety of examinations and results. The scope of accreditation is available on www.cofrac.fr.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Our laboratory is conventionné,
meaning it applies the fee schedule established by Assurance Maladie, the French national health insurance.
  • Quick results
  • Complete confidentiality

Reimbursement

The French Social Security testing fees and reimbursement rates are identical to those of other laboratories. The share of expenses not covered by Social Security may be partially or totally reimbursed by private insurance or the patient’s supplemental mutuelle insurance coverage, depending on the insurance policy.

Patients covered 100% by Assurance Maladie have the benefit of third-party payment and therefore do not have to pay the fees in advance. Patients will be asked to present their Carte Vitale certificate specifying their 100% coverage.
